The Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care
A brief history into the starting of Upper Cervical Health Care in Port Elizabeth.
Janet Meier started her career off as an accountant but always had a dream of becoming a
Chiropractor. The “day” finally arrived – she packed up sold everything and pursued her dreams.
As time went on in her studies to become a chiropractor, she discovered, Upper Cervical Health Care.
After understanding it, and completing her studies in the USA, she returned to South Africa,
Port Elizabeth and with the help of her family opened up her own practice.
Quintin, her brother took an interest in what she was doing, besides him doing all the
“back-ground-programming” He at times assists with certain tests which he himself developed.
To ascertain if a patient has a misalignment of C1 (Atlas Bone).
This has been an ongoing process for more than a decade and both Dr Meier and Quintin have got it
down to a fine art – getting patients to heal better.
All patients go for a specific x-ray and then followed by a series of tests, which include a center of
gravity test, 3-9-0 hand, atlas temperature test, atlas pressure test and other tests, done both by
Dr Meier and Quintin, so that there is no misdiagnosis.
Visits in our office for a patient, is anything between 3-5 visits. Once stabilization has been reached
the patient then will be under maintenance and stabilization techniques are administered.
Both Dr Meier and Quintin continue to strive in developing new non-evasive techniques to help
patients start healing better.
